Hell Gate Sea Dragons, Inc (HGSD) encourages teamwork, cooperation ad understanding among people of diverse backgrounds, abilities, ages and fitness levels. Participation in HGSD is a willful agreement to accept the Code of Conduct. Should the need arise, grievance policies are in place.

All Team members agree to observe and abide by the following:

• Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants and officials regardless of their ability, gender or cultural background.
• Not knowingly discriminate against, abuse harass, ridicule or embarrass anyone covered by this Code of Conduct.
• Be fair, considerate and honest in dealing with others
• Treat all persons with respect, dignity and proper regard for their rights and obligations
• Respect the privacy of others
• Act at all times in a fair and sportsmanship manner and in such a way as to ensure good relations between teammates and between crew(s) and other organizations
• Not intentionally engage in behavior that intimidates teammates, other crewmembers or teams during practice or competitions.

Whenever possible, coaches will address breaches of the Code of Conduct after practice unless deemed necessary during practice. Team members may speak with their coach regarding any concerns after practice.
